The huge production which has sold out and won standing ovations in South Africa, USA, UK and Canada and depicts the most vibrant, moving and exciting aspects of Jewish life in history and music.

Devised by cantor and international singing star Oshy Tugendhaft, the show was first produced in 1993 in honor of the Golden Jubilee of the Sydenham Highlands North Hebrew Congregation in Johannesburg. Since then, Oshy and the 35 member cast consisting of the celebration singers, incredible marimbas and orchestra have wowed them with new versions in Chicago, LA, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, New York, Miami, Toronto and Montreal, as well as London's Royal Festival Hall and South Africa's famous Civic Theatre and Wits Great Hall. It has inspired a number of commercial CD releases and soon-to-be-released DVD - all of which will be on sale at the shows - and was the first Jewish show to play 'the strip' in Las Vegas, moving its mayor to proclaim the day "Celebration Day" in its honour!

Celebration 2, 3 and 4 each built on and transcended the spectacle and emotion of its predecessors.

Now Celebration 60 is coming to Sydney's Moriah College on Sunday 16 and Monday 17 November and to Melbourne's Robert Blackwood Hall at Monash University Hamer Hall on Thursday 13 November under the patronage of the Ambassador of Israel and incorporating a thrilling tribute to Israel's diamond jubilee.

This ground-breaking Australian tour is designed to be accessible to every member of the community with a range of ticket prices from special concession tickets at one end of the spectrum and VIPs gold passes for supporters and patrons at the other.

The project is communal in nature with 100% of profits raised through ticket sales and sponsorship to be donated to Jewish Care's mental health program in Victoria and JewishCare services in NSW. Proceeds from programs sales will be donated to a similar cause in Israel.
